We have also attached a
cost estimate and brief description of the project. I have also attached a brief letter from jeff Adams, Mayor Pro
Tempore regarding the importance of this project within the City. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or
additionally needed information.
The City of Roslyn is proposing to install a new irrigation system for the Cemetery. The existing irrigation system
for the Cemetery was originally installed in 1950's. The system consists of 2 -inch steel lines with on-going issues
that include (undersize lines? low pressure? broken mains? preventing further expansion?). The Cemetery is
located on the west side of Roslyn along Memorial Rd and bounded by the 5th St Alley and Nelson Dairy Rd. The
proposed work for funding would include the planning and design phase as well as construction. Planning will
include coordination with the fire chief and Dept of Health to confirm system capacity for the new looped main
and any new hydrants. Design would include preparation of construction plans and contract documents for
contractor procurement. Construction would include abandoning the existing irrigation system in place,
establishing erosion control measures, and trenching for the installation of the new irrigation lines.
