9129t22,11:13AM
Response 2.1 *
LTAC Clerk Review
Why would tourists travel to Kittitas County to attend your evenUactivity/facility?
As mentioned, vintage markets are extremely popular across the nation and
shoppers willtravel miles and miles to catch the next show. Ellensburg's
centralized location in Washington encourages visitors to travel from all corners of
the state. We hear often of how shoppers meet up in Ellensburg to come to the
show and make a weekend of it. The love for shopping vintage and upcycled
along with all the that our County has to offer makes it the perfect place to hold the
show. The show dates are in the fall and in the spring, which are both a beautiful
time to travel to our valley. Shoppers are encouraged to come enjoy the show,
enjoy the beauty, and take in all the other wonderful things in our County.
2.1 and 2.2 Projection:
I estimate that 55% of my attendees will be tourists coming from more than 50
miles away and that 15o/o of them will stay in overnight paid accommodations.
Having the funds to advertise my show has helped draw those that are 50 miles or
further from Ellensburg. lf I receive funding this year, I anticipate a 3-5% increase
to my attendees that live the 50 miles or further. Based on the options of my
market I have connected with many online groups and like events that I will be
using the funds to further those relations and other advertising focused in those
areas.
2.1 and 2.2 Evidence:
Based on my survey from the recent show, 53% of shoppers were from 50 miles
or more and 15o/o of those stayed in paid accommodations and 39% stayed in
other accommodations. The vendors had 35% from over 50 miles away.
The attendees range from age 20 and under to 60 plus with the majority being
female. A lot of them heard of the show through Facebook and advertising in their
areas through other media such as: newspaper and magazine ads. Based on
survey results, most heard about the show by the advertising which I was able to
expand through this application process and funding.
2.3 Projection.
Based on past surveys, 1% is projected from out of State or Country.
2.3 Evidence:
At this time, I have no evidence of this particular area as my survey shows a result
of less than 1o/o of my attendees that provided such information. I will adjust my
marketing areas trying to improve this percentage for 2023.
2500 character limit
lf-app-'16-03.co.kittitas.wa.us/Forms/form/submission/history/77656/85651?hideHeader=true 5t14
