Ruby St., Suite 2, Ellensburg, WA 98926 Fire Marshal (509) 962-7000 Deputy Fire Marshat (509) 962-7657 February 7,2023 TO: Whom It May Concern RE: Easton Memorial Day Parade and Street Fair Fire and Life Safety Inspection - All non-residential projects, including special events, will receive an initial Fire and Life Safety Inspection in order to acquire certificate of occupancy. Those same projects will receive annual Fire and Life Safety Inspections eachyear after the initial inspection until the project has been rendered unused. For special events, the Fire and Life Safety Inspectionwill take place 24-48 hours prior to the event and scheduled by the primary contactfor the event. These inspections will comply with the International Fire Code (IFC), Kittitas County Code (KCC) and other applicable Nqtional Fire Protection Association (N F P A) st andar ds. n Required Comments: Tents and/or Membrane Structures - Alt tent and/or membrane structures shalt be temporary and comply with Chapter 31, Section 3103 of the IFC, as well as other referenced codes and standards therein. A permit shatl be required. n Required Comments: Special Event Structures - All structures erectedfor the purpose of a temporary event shall be temporary and comply with Chapter 3 I , Section 3 I 05 of the IFC, as well as other referenced codes and stqndard.s therein. A permit shqlt be required. n Required Comments: Fire Extinguishers - Fire extinguishers are requiredfor every 75' of travel qnd must be mounted so that the top of the extinguisher is no more than 4' above the floor. Fire extinguishers must be serviced annually by a third party inspector and be a minimum of 4lbs and be of type I0:A 20:BC. tr Required Comments: The KCFMO sees no increased fire/emergency risk based on the information provided in the application.
