03/06/2023 MINUTES 2 <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve the appointment of Ms. <br />Kristin Ashley to fill the vacancy of the Member at Large Position <br />on the Kittitas County Veterans Advisory Board. Commissioner <br />Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve the appointment of Mr. Ali <br />Unal to fill the Member at Large position on the Kittitas County <br />Library Advisory Board, for a 3 year term effective immediately and <br />ending 12/31/2025. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3- <br />0. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined that for the week of March 6, 2023, they would <br />post the following on their Facebook page: STEER I-90 Meeting; <br />Proclamations for Francisco Ayala Day March 15, 2023, 2023 WIAA <br />State 2A Wrestling Champion and for Cle Elum Roslyn High School <br />Cheer Team Day on March 16, 2023 for the WIAA 2B Academic State <br />Champs; and a congratulations for the Ellensburg High School Girls <br />Basketball back to back State Chams. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2023 <br />were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin <br />meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at <br />future meetings. <br /> <br />Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective <br />departments and exchanged details of those meetings. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES <br /> <br />There were general updates on meetings & conversations that the <br />Board participated in, individually over the past week. <br /> <br />The Board discussed concerns over ongoing payroll issues. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz questioned Staff time commitment with <br />Broadband. It was noted that the only commitment BoCC Staff was to <br />have is setting up meetings. Chairman Wright was tasked with <br />reminding Mr. Poire that the Board’s Staff is not his Staff. The <br />time commitment is to only be setting up BAT meetings and if need <br />be, submitting grants. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
