A minimum of 12 patrol hours on <br />weekends, between noon Friday and midnight Sundays in the afternoon <br />and evening hours. <br />Total reimbursement for this category shall not exceed the amount of. $47,960.00. <br />TRAINING: <br />See Cooperative Law Enforcement Agreement Provision I V -K for additional information. <br />Training that supports or adds to the safety or effectiveness of deputies conducting forest <br />patrols may be reimbursed. Training could encompass any subject area that intersects with <br />public safety, community engagement, or criminal justice. All training requests must be pre - <br />approved by the Patrol Captain. <br />Total reimbursement for this category shall not exceed the amount of. $3,000.00 <br />III. EQUIPMENT: <br />See Cooperative Law Enforcement Agreement Provisions IV -K, IV -L, and IV-Mfor additional <br />information. <br />Equipment necessary for and to support the safety and effectiveness of deputies conducting <br />forest patrols for CY23 may be reimbursed. All equipment orders must be pre -approved by the <br />Patrol Captain through email correspondence. Equipment requests could include, but are not <br />limited to, communication equipment, safety equipment patrol and supportive equipment, or <br />other equipment related to operating in the forest environment. All costs and liability for <br />maintenance and use shall be the responsibility of the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office. <br />Total reimbursement for this category shall not exceed the amount of: $7,000.00 <br />IV. SPECIAL ENFORCEMENT SITUATIONS: <br />A. Special Enforcement Situations include but are not limited to: Fire Emergencies, Drug <br />Enforcement, and certain Group Gatherings. <br />B. Funds available for special enforcement situations vary greatly from year to year and must <br />be specifically requested and approved prior to any reimbursement being authorized. <br />Requests for funds should be made to the U.S. Forest Service designated representative <br />listed in Item I -A of this Operating Plan. The designated representative will then notify <br />the Cooperator whether funds will be authorized for reimbursement. If funds are <br />authorized, the parties will then jointly prepare a revised Operating Plan. <br />1. Drug Enforcement: This will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
