Review all medical records of inmates prior to their scheduled transfer from KCJ forexpiration of sentence and, if necessary, will refer to the afpropriate .or*rnity medicalfacility at no cost to.the county, A medical record review will also be conducted forinmates who are released for reasons other than expiration of sentence. Recordsreviewed in all instances described above will be stampeO,itn tf,u foffowinj-information: <br />Date; Referral Made; By and ro whom; signature ofReviewer. <br />All records wilr be reviewed no rater than 96 hours after date/time rereased. <br />Develop a procedure.for obtaining and sending pertinent medical information to andfrom emergency facilities and outside speciitty <br />"on*uitintr and for inmates that aretransferred to other detention facilities. These pioceoures witt compty *iin ,li"p'plicableFederal and state privacy laws with respect to sending and receipt of medical information. <br />Ensure that accurate, comprehensive, legible upto-date medical information ismaintained on each inmate under its care. All medical records will be consideredconfidential. Procedures will be instituted for the r"""ipi and filing of atL reports anddocumentation from outside consultations, "**rg*niy ioor visits, and inpatienthospitalizations. The Contractor will maintain current-medtai records on all KCJ inmatesand necessary medical records will accompany the inmates to all medical consultation,appointments and sick calls. Copies of medical records oi r rurrury of medical recordswill be fonuarded with the inmate when transferred to another racitity. Contractor willrelease medical records only as required by KCJ proceorrei and allapplicable Federal,state and Local law(s). contractor will sign and adhere to the provisions of the BusinessAssociate Agreement attached hereto arid incorporateo ny ietbrence as a component orcompliance with confidentiality standards. <br />Comply with the KCJ health services policies, procedures, and medical protocolsapproved by the Jail Superintendent. As reqiired, Contractor will facilitate thedevelopment and implementation of new and revised poti.i.r, procedures, and medicalprotocols' As requested, Contractor will also assisi in ftre oevelopment and refinement ofcurrent policies' comply with and complete required cJlS security Awareness iraining. <br />Meet with Jail superintendent or his designee to discuss healthcare on a monthly basis. <br />submit statistical reportslo KCJ by the 15th of each month.
