AttachmentDWORKPLANFY2022EmergencyManagementPerformanceGrantEmergencyManagementOrganization:KittitasCountySheriff'sOfficeThepurposeofEMPGistoassistwiththeenhancement,sustainmentandimprovementofstate,local,andtribalemergencymanagementprograms,ActivitiesconductedusingEMPGfundingshouldrelatedirectlytothefiveelementsofemergencymanagement:prevention,protection,response,recovery,andmitigation.WashingtonStatedoesnotrequireaspecificnumberofactivitiestoreceiveEMPGfunding.However,therearerequiredcapabilitiesthatmustbesustainedinordertoremaineligibleforEMPGfunding,includingbutnotlimitedtotheabilitytocommunicateandwarn,educatethepublic,plan,train,exercise,andbeNIMScompliant,TheWorkPlandelineatestheEmergencyManagementOrganization'semergencymanagementprogramplanningandpriorityfocusforthisgrantcycle(toincludeEMPGgrantandlocalfunds).4.9TrainingPrimaryCoreCapabilityOperationalCoordinationSecondaryCoreCapabilityCybersecurityBuildorSustainSustaining/MaintainingWORKPLANNEDIDENTIFIEDGAP/NEEDANTICIPATEDPROJECTIMPACTTrainingfornewandexistingAllHazardtrainingisrequiredtoNewandexistingEOCmemberswillmembersoftheIncidentoperateaneffectiveEOC.EOCmembersbetrainedinall-hazardsdisasterManagementTeamandEOCstaff.continuetotrain,exercise,andimproveresponseandsupporttheirpositions(COVIDResponseAAR,functions.ThiswillleadtoamoreThetrainingwillincludepositionAARCowCanyonFire)effectiveandefficientresponsetospecifictraining(Logistics,disasters.Operations,PIO,Planning,IC,etc.)andattendanceatconferencessuchasWSEMAorPartnersinEmergencyPreparedness.CybersecuritytrainingforITmembersCybersecurityisathreatinallCountyITprofessionalswillattendTHlRA/SPRdocumentsthroughouttheNAcoCybersecuritytrainingtohelpState.KittitasCountyisnodifferent,developstrategiesandmethodsforCountyITisindireneedoftrainingsecuringcountynetworksagainstcyber-attacks.4.8FacilitiesPrimaryCoreCapabilityOperationalCommunicationsSecondaryCoreCapabilityMassCareServicesBuildorSustainBuildingWORKPLANNEDIDENTIFIEDGAP/NEEDANTICIPATEDPROJECTIMPACTNewEOCset-up/Video/KittitascountyhasreceivedTheintentistomakethenewEOCteleconferencingequipment(06CP-supplementaryfundingtobuildanewbuildingusablebytheendofthe05-VCNB)EOCintheCleElumarea.TheEOCEMPGgrantperiod.constructionwillbeginin2022andtheRadioequipmentfornewEOC(06CP-firstfaceofcompletionwillbefinished01-BASE)in2023.Thefundingisfortheshellofthebuildingandfortheequipmentforthenewfacility.ThisbuildingwillbetheprimaryEOCforKittitasCountyandbeabletohandleaType3IMT.TheEMPGfundswillbeusedtostarttheprocessofturningtheshellofabuildingDHS-FEMA-EMPG-FY22Page36of39KittitasCounty,E23-184
