Roan Drive was planned as a public road. To maintain <br />connectivity through the road network it is being requested <br />that Dapple Gray Way is also brought on as a public road. <br />Both roads were designed to meet public road standards. <br />Roads constructed within the Palomino Fields <br />Development meet Kittitas County standard and have been <br />verified in the field to meet this requirement. These roads <br />have met the design and construction criteria for public <br />roads. <br />Public Works is recommending setting said speed limit at <br />twenty-five miles per hour and placing appropriate signage <br />on the roads. Signage includes a stop sign at the northern <br />connection of Dapple Gray Way at Roan Drive. A redline <br />markup of Kittitas County Code 10.08.010 Speed Limits <br />and KCC 10. 12.010 Stops and Yields is provided for Board <br />consideration. <br />A public hearing is required by County code considering <br />the merits of the on -system road request as well as the <br />consideration to revise Kittitas County Code section <br />10.08.010 Speed Limits and section 10.12.010 Stops and <br />Yield Streets. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a request for on - <br />system road establishment for roads within Palomino Fields <br />Plat Divisions II through VIII.
