Please explain in detail how this position is compatible with the plan(s): Overall Economic Development Plan — Officially Adopted June 2019 The trio of positions will help to achieve the goals found in the Kittitas County comprehensive Plan, noted in Chapter 10 on Economic Development. This will be the area in which the proposed Director will create a timeline of goals and deliverables to be met. Specific areas will be as follows: • Business Retention and Expansion • Recruitment/Relocation to the county • Low impact to resources and land • Commercial/IndustrialInfrastructure • Property/Land inventory at the airport City of Cie Elum Comprehensive Plan — Officially Adopted June 2019 amended 2021 The work of Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce will continue the partnership with the City of Cie Elum by following goals and policies found in their Comprehensive Plan chapter on Economic Development. Specific areas will be as follows: • Attraction of Entrepreneurs or "lone -eagle" to the community. • Business Retention and Expansion • Micro -Specialty Manufacturing and Services • Local Investment Network — attracting and supporting specialty businesses City of Ellensburg Comprehensive Plan — Officially Adopted December 2020 amended 2021 Review of the Economic Development Chapter, the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce will continue the partnership with the community development department at the City of Ellensburg to help in the following areas: • Information about the local economy, including statistics on population, employment, businesses, and employment sectors. • Policies and programs that seek to help Ellensburg build a promising economic future. • Policies that provide a framework for leveraging tourism and promoting Ellensburg as a destination. • Policies that seek to maintain a qualified workforce and promote living wage jobs. Community Action Plan (or other community-based plan) — Officially Adopted Cie Elum Master Plan adopted May 2018 The partnership with the City of Cie Elum and the Cie Elum Downtown Association; the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce will assist in the following goals found in the Cie Elum Master plan in the following projects: • Wayfinding Plan implementation • Pennsylvania Avenue Infill/Redevelopment • Gaslight District Infill/Redevelopment • Wye Park Expansion trails connection ❑ Other 7.
