COVID-1 9 lnfOfmatiOn lf yor had :r planned evenl ia 2020 or 2021 . lvhetire, they $/ere :ble to take plac-- or nor. please describe urny <br />successes and challenges yoLt experienced. <br />We had planned for June 15-21 WASARVAC Conference in 2020. <br />Challenges: The June 15-21 2A20 Conference was cancelled due to COVID 19. <br />We were anxious abaut 2021 and whether or not a gathering this large will be <br />permitted in 2A21 and we ultimately had to cancel f or 2021 . <br />We have concerns that these cancellations will have impacts on SAR units across <br />Washington State. (Note: many of the classes presented at this conference are field <br />training and classroom classes that are not otherwise be available to SAR <br />Volunteers) <br />Successes: We have been meeting regularly to discuss and implement aiternative <br />ways to partially accomplish the goals of this Conference. i.e. smaller classes, <br />online/zoom classes, alternative sites, some classes in Ellensburg. <br />2500 cbaracter lirnil <br />Additional lnformation The Consolidated Lodging Tax Grant assists in our abiliiy to provide this training <br />ln short without this grant we will likely need to increase the registration fee to SAR <br />Volunteers who attend at their own expense.
