KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2023 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: January 17, 2023 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to schedule a Public Hearing for February 7, 2023, at <br />2:00 pm local time to consider a request for on -system road <br />establishment for Roan Drive and Dapple Gray Way that serve <br />residents within the Palomino Fields Development and to <br />consider amending Kittitas County Code Section 10.08.010 <br />Speed Limits and Section 10.12.010 Stop and Yield Streets. <br />BACKGROUND: Cle Elum Pines West, LLC has submitted an On -System County <br />Road Establishment application for Roan Drive and Dapple Gray <br />Way that serve residents within the Palomino Fields <br />Development. <br />Roan Drive and Dapple Gray Way are loop roads connecting to <br />W. Bowers Road. Roan and Dapple Gray were constructed in <br />2019 and 2020 to the 2015 Kittitas County Road Standards. <br />Division I of Palomino Fields Plat was originally approved <br />November 18, 2008. An amendment was approved August 6, <br />2019, to dedicate the existing road easement to Kittitas County <br />as public right-of-way. <br />These roads were inspected by Kittitas County and Road <br />Certifications were received for review and approval. Adopting <br />these roads on -system will also necessitate revision to Kittitas <br />County Code to establish a regulated speed and stop control. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Schedule a public hearing for February 7, 2023, at 2:00 PM local <br />time hearing a request for on -system road establishment for <br />Roan Drive and Dapple Gray Way and to consider amending <br />Kittitas County Code Section 10.08.010 Speed Limits and <br />Section 10.12.010 Stop and Yield Streets. <br />HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer. <br />
