<br />30. Nondiscriminatlon:
<br />30.1 The County is an egual opportunity employer.
<br />30.2 Nondiscrimination in Emolovment
<br />ln the performance of this Agreement, theGontractorwillnot
<br />discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment on the
<br />grounds of mce, creed, color, national origin, sex, sexualorientiation,
<br />madtalstatus, age or the presence of any sensory, mental or
<br />physical handicap; provided that frre prohibition against discrimination
<br />in employment because of handicap shall not apply if the particular
<br />disabllity prevents the proper perbrmance of the particular worker
<br />involved. The Gontractor shallensure that applicanb are employed,
<br />and that employees are treated duringemploymentwittrout
<br />discdminatlon because of their race, oeed, @lor, nationalodgin, sex,
<br />sexual orientation, marital stafus, age or the presence of any sensory,
<br />mental or physical handlcap. Such action shall include, but not be
<br />limited to: employment, upgrading, demotion ortransfers, recruitment or
<br />recruitment advertising, layoff ortermlnation, rates of pay or olher
<br />forms of oompensation, and programs forbaining including
<br />apprenffceshlps. The Contractor shall take such ac'tion wilh respec-t to
<br />this Agreement as may be required to ensure fullcompliane with
<br />local, strate and bderal laws prohibiting discrimination in employment.
<br />30.3 Nondiscdmination in Services
<br />The Contractorwlll not diecdminate against any recipient of any services
<br />or benefits provided for in this Agrcement on the grounds of race,
<br />creed, @lor, nationalorigln, sex, sexualorientration, madtialstatus, age or
<br />the presenca of any sensory, mental or physical handicap.
<br />30.4 lf any assignment and/or subcontracting has been authodzed by the
<br />County, said assignment or subcontrac{ shall include appropdale
<br />saEguads against diEcdmination. ThE Contractor shall take such
<br />ac{ion as may be requlred to eneure full oomplianoe with the
<br />provisions in the immediately preceding paragraphs herein.
