KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2023 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: January 3, 2023 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Advertise a Request for Proposals for <br />"Manufactured Home, Barn, Arena, and Garage <br />Demolition and Salvage." <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County desires to solicit for services to demolish <br />four buildings on Flood Control Zone District property and <br />make the salvage rights available to offset demolition costs. <br />The buildings are located on lands acquired by the district <br />through a Floodplain by Designs state grant. Public Works <br />is requesting to solicit private contractors for this purpose. <br />This activity is funded by the Yakima Basin Integrated <br />Plan. Once the buildings are removed, the district will <br />continue implementing long term conservancy efforts on <br />the landscape. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize advertising for proposals from contractors for <br />Manufactured Home, Barn, Arena, and Garage Demolition <br />and Salvage services. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Advertisement; Request for Proposals <br />LEAD STAFF: Arden Thomas, Water Resource Manager. <br />
