Sno qualmie Pass <br />Fire & Rescue <br />,%ew.*Wraazv@ <br />RESOLUTION # 2A22.13 <br />INTENT TO IMPOSE FIRE BENEFIT CHARGE <br />Background: WI-IEREAS. the District is Authorized by chaprer 52.18 RCW rer <br />establish. irnpose and collect a benefit chalge on p*rronul properly and improvements torealproperty located within the District; and <br />WHEREAS. the iloard of Clornmissioners has detennined that the regular rea! properry <br />tax levy ittconle will not be sull'icient to cover the cost of the operatiixs of the bistrict <br />needed to maintain a satisfactory level of District services: and <br />WHEREAS. llre benefit charge authorized by the statute may provide an amount not to <br />exceed 60% of the operation budget of the District; and <br />WHEREAS, the District's Operation buciget ftrr 2023 will be approximarely $ I ,079.g46:and <br />WHERIAS- the prope*ies listed in Ilxhihit A. to be artached to this Resolution are <br />receiving and will receive the service benelits provided by the Districr; ald <br />WHERIIAS, it is reasonable and necessary that the District irnpose a benefit charge to <br />nraintain and improve services provicled by the District: <br />Resolution: NOW TrIEREFORE, BE I'f RESOLVED by the Board of Comrnissioners <br />o{'Snoqualmie Pass Fire & Rescue as jirllows: <br />l ' Benefit Charge. There is hereby imposed within the District a benefit charge onpersonal prnperty and improvements to real property to be collected in 2022 in the <br />total amount of $290,400.00 to be paid hy the o*n*.u of such properties. <br />2. Effective Date. The benefit charge shall be imposed on the affbcted property <br />beginning January l, ZAZ3. <br />3. Meth<ld of Apportionment. T'he total benefit charge authorized by this <br />resolution shall be reasonably apportioned among the affected p*r.Ll* of properry <br />by the method described in Exhibit B. <br />4' Property Charge. The benefit charge to be imposed on each prope*y is set forth <br />ott Exhibit A. to be attached to this resolution and incorporated hereinby this <br />reference.
