KITTITAS COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO.2 <br />RESOLUTION NUMBER 22-28 <br />Certiffing Property Tax Levy <br />Beginning January l, 2023 <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Assessor has notified the Commissioners of Kittitas <br />County Fire District No. 2 of the assessed valuation of property lying within the boundaries of said <br />district for the year 2023 is estimate d at $5 ,204,7 81 ,7 62 and; <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Fire Commissioners of Kittitas County Fire District No. 2 has <br />met and considered its budget for the calendar year 2023, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Fire Commissioners of Kittitas County Fire District No. 2 had <br />properly given notice of the public hearing held November 10, 2022 to consider the District's <br />revenue sources and current expense budget for the 2023 calendar year, pursuant to RCW <br />84.55.120, and <br />WHEREAS, on August 2, 2022, the voters of Kittitas County Fire District No. 2 <br />auihorized a levy lid rate increase to $1.50 per $1000 of assessed vaiue, and <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Kittitas County <br />Fire District No. 2 as follows: <br />1. That the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners and the Kittitas County Assessor, be and is <br />hereby requested to make a regular property tax levy for 2022, to be collected in 2023 for <br />Kittitas County Fire District No. 2 in the amount of $8,000,000.00, plus new construction and <br />any increase in state-assessed property. <br />2.
