Kittitas County Capital Improvement Program December 20, 2022 <br /> <br />Frequently Asked Questions Page 74 <br /> <br />Question 5: What does level of service (LOS) mean? <br /> <br />Answer: The LOS is a quantifiable measure of the amount of public facilities that is <br />provided, such as acres of park land per capita, vehicle capacity of intersections, <br />or water pressure per square inch available for water system. <br /> <br />Question 6: What is concurrency? <br /> <br />Answer: All public facilities that are needed to serve new development or a growing <br />service area population, must be in place at the time of initial need. If the <br />facilities are not in place, a financial commitment must have been made to <br />provide the facilities within six-years of the time of the initial need and must <br />have the capacity to serve the new development or a growing service area <br />population without decreasing service levels below locally established minimum <br />standards. <br /> <br />Question 7: How do I get involved in the CFP process? <br /> <br />Answer: Information on the CFP process will be posted on the County’s website at the <br />following address: https://www.co.kittitas.wa.us/cds/land-use/default.aspx. To <br />receive email updates on when new information is posted, you can subscribe to <br />Kittitas County’s email notification subscription service for “Comprehensive <br />Plan Announcements.” All persons can provide written or verbal comments to <br />the Planning Commission and to the Commissioners, before or during the <br />scheduled public hearings. <br /> <br /> <br />
