12/05/2022 MINUTES 2 <br />OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES <br /> <br />There were general updates on meetings & conversations that the <br />Board participated in, individually over the past week. <br /> <br />NOISE WAIVER WSDOT COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator presented the Board with a <br />Noise Waiver from WSDOT for them to perform work on I-90 Vantage <br />Bridge/Columbia River from Spring 2023 to Fall/Winter 2025. <br />Commissioner Wright requested that some language be included in the <br />letter of approval to WSDOT. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve the WSDOT Noise Ordinance <br />Waiver approval as presented noting that he would need to include <br />language about the potential of the approval being revoked and <br />reviewed throughout the process in the event that it created a great <br />deal of hardship for residents. Vice-Chairman Wright seconded. <br />Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2022-220 INDIGENT DEFENSE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Wright moved to approve Resolution 2022-220, a <br />Resolution Authorizing Execution of one or more (Paul McBride, Candy <br />Powers, Margie Alumbaugh) Contract Addenda Related to Indigent <br />Defense Services noting that it would include a 5% increase for the <br />two-month extension. Commissioner Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried <br />3-0. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT MARGIE ALUMBAUGH – UDC COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Wright moved to approve an Agreement between Kittitas <br />County Upper Dist. Court and Margie Alumbaugh as presented. <br />Commissioner Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:42 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz announced the Board would recess into <br />an Executive Session for 15 minutes per RCW 42.30.110 (g) To <br />evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or <br />to review the performance of a public employee. However, subject to <br />RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, <br />and other conditions of employment to be generally applied within <br />the agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a <br />governing body elects to take final action hiring, setting the <br />salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or <br />discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken <br />in a meeting open to the public. No action anticipated. <br />
