Sno qualmie Pass <br />Fire & Rescueg""rrrl"'Wa.u.v@ <br />RESOLUTTON # 2A22- t3 <br />INTENT TO IMPOSE FIRE BENEFIT CHARGB <br />Background: WI-lllREAS, the District is Authorized by chapter 52.18 RCW t9establish. impose and collect a benefit charge on p*rronul property and improvements toreal property located within the District; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has determined that the regular real property <br />tax levy income will not be sulficient to cover the cost of the operations of the bistrict <br />needed to maintain a satisfastory levet clf District services; zurcl <br />WHEREAS, the benefit charge authorized by the statute may provide an amount not toexceed 60% of the operatiein budget of the District; and <br />WIIEREAS, the District's Operation budget for 2A23 will be approximately $ I ,e7g,g46;and <br />WI-IEREAS, the properties listed in Exhibit A. to be attached to this Resoluti'n arereceiving and will reeeive the service benefits provided by the District; and <br />WHEREAS' it is reasonable and necessary that the District irnpose a benefit charge tomaintain and improve services pnrvided by the District; <br />Resolution: Now 1'I-IEREF0RE, BE I'r RESOLVED by the Board of ctommissioners <br />of Snoqualmie Pass Fire & Rescue as fbllows: <br />l ' Benefit Charge. There is hereby imposed within the District a henegt charge onpersonal property and improvements to real property to be collected in 2022 in thetotal amount of $290,400.00 to be paicl by the o*n*r* of such properties. <br />2' Effective Date. The benefit charge shall be imposed on the aflbcted propefiy <br />beginning January l, 2A23. <br />3. Method of Apportionment. T'he total benefit charge authorizecl by this <br />resolution shail.be reasonably apportioned among the affbcted purr"l, of property <br />by the merhod describecl in Exhibit B. <br />4' Property Charge. 'l'he benefit charge to be imposed on each property is set forth <br />on Exhibit A, to be attached to this resolution und i,tcorporateei heieinby this <br />refbrence.
