POUT|CAT ACTtq'W {HATCH AqT.l <br />The sUB-RECIPIENT will comply with provisions of rhe Hatch Acr i5 U.s.c. 1.501-1508i, whichlimit the political activities of employees whnse principal employment activities are funded inwhole or in part with lederal funds. <br />'IS. STATE LOBBYING <br />None of the funds under this Agreement will be used for any activity specifically designed to <br />urge or influence a state or local legislator to favor or oppose the adoption of any spJcificlegislative proposal pending before any state or local legislative body, Such activiiies includeboth direct and indirect {e.g., "grassroots"} lobbying activities, with one exception. This daesnot preclude a state official whose salary is supported with NHTSA funds frorn engaging indirect cornmunications with state or local legislative officials, in accordance with customary <br />state practice, even if such communications urge tegislative officials to favor or cppose theadaption of a specific pending legislative proposal. <br />41. pESJqilATEp COirTAflS <br />The following narned individuals will serve as designated contacts for each of the parties far allcomrnunications, notices, and reimbursement regarding this Agreement: <br />39. PFOHIBITION ON U$IT'IG $RANT IUND5 To cHEcI( FoR.HrtMq"T USAGE <br />The Su8-RECIPIENT will not use 23 u.5.c. chapter 4 grant funds for programs to check helmet <br />usage or to create checkpoints that specifically target motorcyclists. This Agreement does notinclude any aspects or elernents of helmet usage or checkpoints, arrd so fully complies with thisrequirement.
