Families with children are housed with HotelVouchers and are
referred to HopeSource for rapid rehousing.
Although an individual experiencing homelessness may benefit from supportive services such
as mental health or substance abuse counseling, participation in these services is not a
requirement for accessing the Cold Weather Shelter.
r'Operate an effective and efficient homeless crisis response system that
swiftly moves people into stable permanent housing.
The Kittitas County coordinated entry system will be managed by HopeSource at the Cold
Weather Shelter. All guests will be entered into the state HMIS system as required for anyone
utilizing document recording fee funds.
As part of the intake process guests will be informed of services available to them to stabilize
their lives with housing, case management, mental health and substance use counseling, faith
based counseling, nutrition, physical health, and referral to all relevant community services.
6
