Describe how your proposed praject addresses the causes of watershed degradation <br />rather than the symptoms, or how your project addresses species recovery needs or other species <br />conservation needs. if the documents) prioritizes actions, then identify the ranking for the proposed <br />project. <br />Gold Creek Restoration is a HIGH PRIORITY under the Habitat and Watershed Protection element of <br />the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan (IP). The IP is a part of the Yakima River Basin Water Enhancement <br />Project (YRBWEP), authorized by Congress in 1979 to help mitigate water supply issues in the Yakima <br />Basin. https://vakimabasinintegratedplan.org/ <br />In the updated 2017 Yakima Bull Trout Action Plan, Gold Creek bull trout are designated as a TIER 1, <br />HIGH PRIORITY ACTION POPULATION.
