Abstract -Brief Project Description and Outcomes: Briefly describe the project and quantifiable <br />outcomes (i.e. Remove 4 culverts and open fish passage to 3.7 miles of stream habitat. Propagate <br />1500 endangered plants from seed and re-establish 1000 of these plants to Site A, etc). <br />The goals of the Gold Creek Restoration Project are to restore natural flow and improve the instream <br />habitat for ESA threatened bull trout (Salvelinus confluentus). The 1-90 gravel supply pits known as Gold <br />Creek Pond and Heli's Pond act as a siphon that exacerbates the seasonal dewatering of Gold Creek. <br />Decades of clear-cut logging and mining have widened the creek, spreading out the water causing the <br />flow to go subsurface, further increasing the frequency, extent, and duration of dewatering. The <br />objectives of this project are: 1) Fill the two gravel pits to eliminate the siphon effect, and 2) Restore the <br />geomorphology of two miles of stream (RM 1-2 and RM 2-3), including the addition of 1,000+ logs and <br />
