09/20/2022 MINUTES 2 <br />PUBLIC HEARING EQUIPMENT SURPLUS PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />At 2:05 p.m. VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT opened a Public Hearing to <br />consider equipment surplus to Kittitas County’s needs and to <br />authorize disposal of the same in accordance RCW 36.34.080. <br /> <br />MARK COOK, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR, provided a Staff Report and <br />reviewed the equipment surplus to the County’s needs and recommended <br />the Boards approval. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2022-180 EQUIPMENT SURPLUS PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-180, to <br />Declare Equipment Rental and Revolving Fund Equipment Surplus Not to <br />the County’s Needs and to Authorize Disposal. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />At 2:08 p.m. VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT opened a Public Hearing to <br />consider amending Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.48 Emergency <br />Management. <br /> <br />MARK COOK, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR, reviewed a Staff Report and <br />explained that since the collapse of McElroy Bridge, the Public <br />Works Department has been working to clarify the role of Board <br />departments responding to emergency events. He said the proposed <br />revisions to Kittitas County Code 2.48 defines expectations of <br />Department Directors and utilizes the tenants of incident command as <br />defined in the County’s adopted Emergency Management Plan. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 2022-011 EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS WACHSMITH moved to approve Ordinance No. 2022-011, <br />Amending Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.48 Emergency Management and <br />to strike “National Incident Management Structure” in Section <br />2.48.030, and replace it with “National Incident Management System” <br />CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ seconded.
