PRESS RELEASE <br />Date: September 26, 2022 <br />Contact: Arden Thomas, Water Resources Program Manager, 509-962-7690 <br />Flood Risk Map Information Available to County Residents <br />The Kittitas County Flood Control Zone District provides flood risk information for properties <br />located within Kittitas County. This service is provided upon request for no charge. We are <br />available to provide this information to all requestors, for properties both in unincorporated <br />Kittitas County and within cities and town. <br />The primary source of flood risk information is from the Federal Emergency Management <br />Agency (FEMA). FEMA flood maps identify Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHA). Local <br />jurisdictions have special requirements for development within SFHAs.
