KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2022 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: September 6, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Authorize the Board's signature on a resolution directing <br />submittal of the "Safe Streets and Roads for All" traffic <br />safety planning grant for Snoqualmie Pass. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Public Works has been working these past several months <br />preparing a traffic safety planning request supporting <br />Snoqualmie Pass development. The grant is currently <br />estimated at approximately $600,000 and carries a 20 <br />percent grant match obligation. Numerous stakeholders <br />have been party to preparing the grant application for <br />submittal. If successful, staff will work with stakeholders <br />defining various levels of match contribution. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize staff to submit the "Safe Streets and Roads for <br />All" traffic safety planning grant for Snoqualmie Pass. <br />HANDLING: <br />Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Resolution. <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Mark R.
