KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: August 8, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to establish <br />County Road Project (CRP) number supporting <br />roadway improvements to Micheletto Road <br />BACKGROUND: In 2021 Micheletto Road was established onto the <br />Public Road Network. Micheletto Road extends <br />approximately 0.245 miles east from the <br />intersection with Swauk Prairie Road. The roadway <br />surfacing is currently gravel and is narrow without a <br />turnaround. It is proposed to improve the roadway <br />by improving the surfacing and constructing an <br />appropriately sized turnaround at the east end of the <br />roadway. <br />County forces will perform the work to reconstruct <br />the roadway surface and installation of a <br />turnaround. Funding in the amount of $40,000.00 <br />will come from the County Road Fund. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution establishing a County Road <br />Project (CRP) number supporting the road <br />improvements to Micheletto Road. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution establishing CRP No. 312-21 <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
