Submittals received after <br />September 9, 2022, at 10:00 AM Local Time will be disregarded. <br />The County may elect to interview firms prior to awarding the modeling contract. Kittitas County <br />encourages disadvantaged, minority and women owned consultant firms to respond. <br />The County reserves the right to reject any and all submittals. <br />SELECTION PROCESS AND PROPOSED SCHEDULE: <br />Kittitas County selection will be based on the following review of submitted materials: <br />1. The firm's or team's qualifications, experience and ability to perform the work (20 points); <br />2. Demonstrated experience with similar projects in Kittitas County within the past ten <br />years (30 points); <br />3. Demonstrated experience integrating CONSULTANT efforts with agency staff producing <br />model hydraulics (40 points); <br />4. Demonstrated ability to keep projects on time and within budget specifically delivering <br />approximate and detailed two-dimensional flow models to FEMA contractor model <br />reviewers (20 points); <br />5. Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with the public, other <br />consultants, staff, policy and review bodies and regulatory agencies (20 points). <br />Responders are encouraged to pay attention to the point allocation listed above as this is the <br />basis for responder selection. <br />Anticipated Dates <br />Tasks <br />September 9, 2022 <br />Deadline for SOQ submittals <br />September 16, 2022 <br />Selection of Firms to Interview (if <br />desired <br />September 23, 2022 <br />Interviews and Reference Checks (if <br />desired <br />September 28, 2022 <br />Selection of firms and prepare <br />contracts <br />October 4, 2022 <br />BOCC Award of Contracts <br />The selection process shall be, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights <br />Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies <br />all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this <br />advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises and airport concession disadvantaged <br />business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this <br />invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin it <br />consideration for an award. <br />The above noted schedule is tentative and may be changed based on the number of proposals <br />submitted. <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />
