After an initial equipment
purchase by the Road Fund, the equipment is then placed in ER&R and rented to other
funds, typically the Road Fund. Rates are reviewed annually and updated accordingly.
DISCUSSION:
Rental rates for equipment within ER&R are reviewed and adopted annually pursuant to
RCW 36.33A.10. Current (2022) rates were adopted from 2021 rates with no change. A
review of the rental rates has been performed, considering operating costs, maintenance
costs as well as replacement costs for each piece of equipment. New rates have been
developed and presented as an attachment.
FISCAL IMPACTS:
Adjusted rates will change the cost rental rates paid primarily from the road fund.
ATTACHMENTS:
Draft ER&R Rates
Public Works "Work Session Staff Report" 2022
