KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />July 19, 2022 <br />Request to set a Public Hearing for August 2, 2022, <br />at 2:00 pm to consider a speed reduction on <br />Vanderbilt Road between Fourth Parallel and the <br />end of road and amend Kittitas County Code <br />Chapter 10.08 Speed Limits on County Roads. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public Works <br />received a request from residents to conduct a speed <br />study and consider a reduction of the posted 50 <br />MPH speed on Vanderbilt Road between Fourth <br />Parallel Road and the end of road (milepoint 0.00 to <br />0.48). The speed study was conducted, and Public <br />Works is now requesting to set a Public Hearing to <br />receive public testimony and discuss the results of <br />said study. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for August 2, 2022, at 2:00 pm <br />to consider a speed reduction on Vanderbilt Road <br />from milepoint 0.00 to milepoint 0.48 and amend <br />Kittitas County Code Chapter 10.08 Speed Limits <br />on County Roads. <br />HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Public <br />Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
