The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />l.Economic Development Planning Update - TIP Strategies <br />City Manager Behrends Cerniwey gave a brief overview of the planning update. Jeff <br />Marcell, Alex Cooke, and Victoria Wilson presented TIP's findings for the outreach and <br />Alignment phase of the Economic Development Plan. Council and the Commissioners <br />discussed development priorities, placemaking, and people commuting outside of Kittitas <br />County for work. <br />2. Ad Hoc Committee on Homelessness Update <br />City Manager Behrends Cerniwey presented background from previous meetings of the Ad <br />Hoc Committee on Homelessness, as well as their trip to the Moses Lake Sleep Center. <br />Moses Lake Police Chief Fuhr outlined the history of the Sleep Center and responded to <br />questions from the Commissioners and Council. City Attorney Weiner detailed the <br />regulatory environment and current challenges with homelessness and public property. City <br />Manager Behrends Cerniwey presented information from Merit's Recovery Navigator <br />Program. Councilmember Tabb indicated that the Ad Hoc Committee has an upcoming <br />meeting on June 30,2A22.
