2022-06-07 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />CONF. ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 3:00 P.M. JUNE 7, 2022 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz(virtual); Vice- <br />Chairman Cory Wright and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor; Jeanne Killgore, <br />HR Rep. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 3:01 p.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting and <br />announced the Board would recess into an Executive Session with <br />Jeanne Killgore for ten minutes to evaluate the qualifications of an <br />applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a <br />public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by <br />a governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of <br />employment to be generally applied within the agency shall occur in <br />a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects to <br />take final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual <br />employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an <br />employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the <br />public. Possible action anticipated. <br /> <br />At 3:11 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No <br />action was taken. <br /> <br />At 3:11 p.m. Chairman Osiadacz announced the Board would recess back <br />into Executive Session for 5 minutes to evaluate the qualifications <br />of an applicant for public employment or to review the performance <br />of a public employee. Possible action was anticipated. <br /> <br />At 3:17 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. <br />Direction was given to Staff to amend the interview questions for <br />Airport Director interview’s; look at possible new questions to <br />incorporate; and invite a panel mixed of private residents and <br />County Staff to conduct screening interviews of the top two <br />candidates as discussed. <br />
