Job Description <br />Kittitas County, Washington <br />TITLE: Fiscal Analyst/PW Technology Specialist <br />CREATED: 05/16/2022 <br />REPORTS TO: PW Finance Manager <br />DEPARTMENT: Public Works <br />JOB SUMMARY: <br />CATEGORY: Full-time OCCUPATION CODE: <br />AFFILIATION: Union HOURS/WEEK: 40 <br />FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt DRS ELIGIBILITY: PERS <br />ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS <br />TECHNOLOGY: <br />• Support computer systems and printers/copiers/plotters; Follow up with co-workers to <br />ensure satisfactory resolution of issues. <br />• Acquire and maintain knowledge of relevant hardware and software products used by <br />Public Works. <br />• Attend training, assist in training, and provide individual user training. <br />• Act as liaison between Public Works and IT for Tier II Support. <br />• Act as liaison with support vendors; ensure timely notice to IT if vendor network access is <br />required. <br />• Keep up to date on new technologies and best practices. Provide advice to division <br />management on best practices as it relates to technology. <br />• Assist with the development and support of technology policies and procedures within <br />Public Works. <br />• Support inventory, computer rotation and appropriate disposal of technology. <br />• In coordination with the information Technology Department, plan for and respond to <br />emergencies involving data loss, hardware failure and disaster recovery. <br />• Create, schedule and run reports to improve office productivity and provide custom reports <br />to meet departmental reporting needs. <br />• Analyze processes and recommend improvements using standardization, automation, and <br />technology systems. <br />• Develop strategies for integrating, testing, adopting, and implementing emerging <br />technologies. <br />• Assign software user accounts for Public Works related programs, ensure new users receive <br />necessary training prior to use. <br />Fiscal Analyst/Technology Specialist — Public Works Page 1 <br />
