COMMISSIONERS’ MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />HR STUDY SESSION <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING REVISED PERSONNEL POLICIES 3.6 AND 4.1 <br />This agenda item was tabled until the next study session. <br />REQUEST TO ADD ADDITIONAL HEADCOUNT FOR EVENT CENTER <br />Kittitas Valley Event Center Director Porterfield requested to hire a third Seasonal Event Aide in addition <br />to the two that were approved in her 2022 budget. She explained that she interviewed three qualified <br />candidates for the position, but two of them cannot begin until the middle of the summer season. With <br />the shortened season for two of the candidates, she could hire all three applicants with a budget <br />savings. She also noted that additional staff during the busiest months (July – September) would reduce <br />the need for overtime pay. The Board expressed approval and provided direction to move forward with <br />hiring a third Seasonal Event Aide.
