COMMISSIONERS’ MINUTES <br />HR STUDY SESSION <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />REQUEST APPROVAL OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN KITTITAS COUNTY AND <br />AFSCME LOCAL 792-CH FOR RECOGNIZING AND CLASSIFYING NEW LEAD FISCAL ANALYST POSITION <br />This item was continued at the 5/13/2022 HR Study Session. <br />BENEFITS COMMITTEE UPDATE <br />Director Foreman provided the Board with a brief summary of the last Benefits Committee meeting. <br />Commissioner Wachsmith requested that the Management Team receive an update as well. <br />Commissioner Wright commented that members of the Benefits Committee should also be updating their <br />departments and the groups they represent. Director Foreman will send an update to Department Heads. <br />At 10:45 AM, Commissioner Wachsmith moved to continue the HR Study Session at 9:00 AM on <br />5/13/2022 due to other obligations of the Board. Commissioner Wright seconded the motion. Motion <br />was passed; 2:0. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION – RCW 42.30.110 (G) TO EVALUATE THE QUALIFICATIONS OF AN APPLICANT FOR <br />PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT OR TO REVIEW THE PERFORMANCE OF A PUBLIC EMPLOYEE. HOWEVER, <br />SUBJECT TO RCW 42.30.140(4), DISCUSSION BY A GOVERNING BODY OF SALARIES, WAGES, AND <br />OTHER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT TO BE GENERALLY APPLIED WITHIN THE AGENCY SHALL OCCUR <br />IN A MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, AND WHEN A GOVERNING BODY ELECTS TO TAKE FINAL ACTION <br />HIRING, SETTING THE SALARY OF AN INDIVIDUAL EMPLOYEE OR CLASS OF EMPLOYEES, OR <br />DISCHARGING OR DISCIPLINING AN EMPLOYEE, THAT ACTION SHALL BE TAKEN IN A MEETING OPEN <br />TO THE PUBLIC. <br />This item was continued at the 5/13/2022 HR Study Session. <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br />Maintenance Director Stacey advised the Board that the pipe repair near the jail was unsuccessful. She is <br />reviewing new repair options, including rerouting one of the pipelines.
