BOARD OF COTINTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COTINTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2022 - <br />' <br />07 <br />ADOPTING COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENT'S POLICY 2O22.OI GRANT <br />INSTRUCTIONS AND POLICY 2022.02 CONFLICTS OF INTEREST <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners utilizes distressed county <br />sales and use tax supporting Council of Government (COG) economic <br />development activities and construction of public facilities; and <br />WHEREAS: The COG maintains polices that assist the Board implementing Public Facility <br />Fund 108 grant awards annually; and <br />WHEREAS: The COG desires imposing a policy that requires grant recipients to adhere to <br />application instructions for continuity and ease of application review; and <br />WHEREAS: The COG additionally desires a policy outlining instances of conflicts of interest <br />for COG members and how impacted grants will be scored; and <br />WHEREAS: The COG voted to recommend policy adoption to the Board of County <br />Commissioners during its regularly scheduled meeting on April 20,2022. <br />NOW' THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby adopt COG Policy 2022-01Grant Instructions and Policy <br />2022-02 Conflicts of Interest. <br />DATED this 3rd day of May 2022, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS , WASHINGTON <br />Chairman <br />Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Cory Wright, V <br />n Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz\*.\ <br />Brett Commissioner
