<br /> GOALS AND OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />Airport Strategic Business Plan, 07/26/2021 6 <br />MISSION The Mission of Kittitas County Airport – Bowers Field is to operate and develop the <br />Airport and Industrial Park in a safe and efficient manner to encourage the availability <br />of high‐quality aviation and non‐aviation products, services, and facilities; support <br />professional aviation education programs; enhance the economic benefit for the <br />County; and support local and regional emergency preparedness. <br />VISION The Vision for the Kittitas County Airport – Bowers Field is to be the leading Central <br />Washington regional general aviation airport that is a vital and self‐sufficient center of <br />air transportation and economic activity. <br />GOAL 4 <br /> <br />Improve and enhance the safety, security, and efficiency of the Airport’s airside <br />infrastructure by the end of 2023 <br />OBJECTIVE <br />4‐1 <br />Develop a comprehensive aeronautical land‐use and development plan by the end of <br />CY 2021 for implementation in 2022 <br />OBJECTIVE <br />4‐2 <br />Improve airside operations (e.g., mowing, snow removal, FOD management, etc.) <br />through the procurement of additional equipment and manpower and <br />implementation of best management practices by 2022 <br />OBJECTIVE <br />4‐3 <br />Finalize rules and regulations by the end of 2021 for implementation in 2022 <br />OBJECTIVE <br />4‐4 <br />Develop a professional development program for airport administration and staff to <br />include industry certifications such as AAE (Accredited Airport Executive), CM <br />(Certified Member), and ACE (Airport Certified Employee) by the end of 2022 for <br />implementation in 2023
