Submittals received after 5:00 pm local time on June 10, 2022, will be disregarded. Kittitas <br />County encourages disadvantaged, minority and women owned consultant firms to respond. <br />The County reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm for any subsequent phases <br />(such as right of way or construction) associated with this project. The County reserves the right to <br />reject any and all submittals. <br />Kittitas County's selection will be based on review of submittals in the following manner: <br />1. The firm's or team's qualifications, experience and ability performing the <br />requested work (30 points) <br />2. Detailed description of the firm's approach to the project (50 points) <br />3. Experience working in Kittitas County in the past five years (20 points) <br />4. Experience working with WSDOT South Central regional staff in the past five years (20 <br />points) <br />5. Demonstrated experience working with state and federal agencies on federal <br />interstate widening projects. (50 points). <br />Anticipated Dates <br />Tasks <br />June 10, 2022 <br />Deadline for SOQ submittals <br />June 30, 2022 <br />Selection of Firms to Interview <br />July 21, 2022 <br />Interviews and Reference Checks <br />August 2, 2022 <br />BOCC contract award <br />August 16, 2022 <br />Executed contract <br />The selection process shall be as follows: <br />• Submittals are reviewed and scored by the Public Works selection committee. <br />• Selection of firms to interview may be waived if the selection committee decides to <br />award to a single firm based on review of the submittals. <br />• Firms will be selected to interview if the selection committee decides that interviews are <br />required. The specific interview format will be provided to firms in advance of interviews. <br />• Board of County Commission design contract award. <br />• The Public Works Director will negotiate a scope of work and fee with the selected <br />consultant. <br />• The selected consultant will then enter into a Professional Services Consultant <br />Agreement with Public Works. <br />Kittitas County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. <br />2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, <br />Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally Assisted Programs of the Department <br />of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively <br />ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business <br />enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />
