From:Downes, Scott G (DFW)
To:Kelly Bacon (CD)
Cc:Torrey, Elizabeth M (DFW); Jeremy Johnston
Subject:RE: LP-22-00001 Suncadia Phase 2 Division 7 - Notice of Application
Date:Wednesday, February 16, 2022 8:41:20 AM
CAUTION: This email originated from outside the Kittitas County network. Do not click
links, open attachments, fulfill requests, or follow guidance unless you recognize the sender
and have verified the content is safe.
Kelly,
Thank you for the opportunity to review this project. WDFW reviewed the project and noticed that
there is a new road planned over “Stream D”. Stream D is also currently listed as a Type F (fish-
bearing) stream. Thus to build the water crossing over the stream, the applicant will need to submit
for an HPA from WDFW and the crossing design will need to be fish passable. WDFW is happy to
help the applicant with technical advice on sizing and design of the structure and that is best done
through a site visit. Please pass along my contact information to them so that we can set up a site
visit to discuss and look at the proposed crossing when the timing is appropriate.
Thanks,
Scott
Scott Downes
Fish & Wildlife Habitat Biologist
Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife
Region 3 Habitat Program
1701 South 24th Ave
Yakima, WA 98902-5720
Scott.Downes@dfw.wa.gov
Cell-509-607-3578
From: Kelly Bacon (CD) <kelly.bacon.cd@co.kittitas.wa.us>
Sent: Thursday, February 10, 2022 10:05 AM
To: Ryan McAllister <ryan.mcallister@co.kittitas.wa.us>; Kim Dawson
<kim.dawson@co.kittitas.wa.us>; George Long <long@kittcom.org>; Julie Kjorsvik
<julie.kjorsvik@co.kittitas.wa.us>; Toni Berkshire <toni.berkshire@co.kittitas.wa.us>; Jesse Cox
<jesse.cox@co.kittitas.wa.us>; Holly Erdman <Holly.erdman@co.kittitas.wa.us>; Lisa Lawrence
<lisa.lawrence@co.kittitas.wa.us>; Patti Stacey <patti.stacey@co.kittitas.wa.us>; Candie Leader
<candie.leader@co.kittitas.wa.us>; Ken Grannan <ken.grannan@co.kittitas.wa.us>; Yakama Nation -
Enviromental Review <enviroreview@yakama.com>; 'Corrine Camuso'
<Corrine_Camuso@Yakama.com>; Jessica Lally <Jessica_Lally@Yakama.com>; Noah Oliver
<Noah_Oliver@Yakama.com>; casey_barney@yakama.com; 'kozj@yakamafish-nsn.gov'
Index #21
