Based on the cumulative of a series of similar development applications coupled with
ongoing communications with Suncadia, DOH ODW had identified, that prior to this current
application, Suncadia had proposed a total of 1213 connections (adding current active
connection to proposed connections).
2. The water system has 1501 approved connections – giving 288 available connections prior
to this current application.
3. With this application identifying 148 residential connections, the water system is using just
over half of the remaining available connections – leaving 140 available connections for
future development.

Thus, DOH ODW has no water system capacity concerns regarding this application – i.e., the water
system shows sufficient water system capacity to serve the additionally proposed 148 connections.

As guidance, DOH ODW provides the following:

· To serve these connections, and all other proposed connections that are “in development”
at this time based on the recent or semi-recent similar applications, Suncadia does need to
have a Professional Engineer evaluate and design distribution piping that can convey
necessary Peak Hour flow rates while maintaining required pressures throughout the
distribution system at all existing and newly constructed connections.
· As the recent or semi-recently proposed connections are constructed (a total of 369 new
connections), Suncadia does need to update their WFI to show these as active connections.
· With 140 remaining available connections, DOH feels that as the 369 new connections are
constructed and actively receive water, Suncadia should re-assess their capacity and capacity
limits to serve drinking water to their customers.

If you or anyone else has any questions or concerns regarding these comments and guidance, please
contact DOH for clarification.
Index #20
