The special teams PPE/ballistic protection is out-of- <br />date and has created an unsafe/unusable situation for Kittitas County Regional SWAT and tactical <br />teams. <br />CAPABILIllYsustalned or enhanced <br />This investment enhances the Interdiction and Disruption capability by investing in Special Teams and <br />Tactical Teams ability to prepare, respond and mitigate an emerging incident related to alt hazards and <br />terrorism. <br />ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED <br />Purchase ballistic protection heavy vests (AELN: O1LE-0I-ARMR) <br />ASSOCIATED DEUVERABLES/OUTPUTS <br />Special Teams members are better equipped and able to perform their duties more safely. <br />Updated personnel protective equipment will immediately increase safety for first responders. <br />DESIREDOUTCOMES <br />More effective and capable Special Teams will be physically protected and able to coordinate with all <br />Jurisdictions when responding to Incidents to include terrorism. <br />DHS-FEMA-HSGP-SHSP-FFY19 Page 36 of 37 Kitt tas County Sheriffs Office E22-260 <br />
