BUDGET NARRATIVE
1. Funding Utilization: Describe how the funds will be used to support the proposed
project. For example, will the funds be used for staff time, supplies, consultants,
contractors, construction costs, direct customer services, etc.? (250 words max.)
The funds requested from the County will fund half of the purchase of the property.
Additional funds are being sought for the remainder of the purchase from the City of
Ellensburg ($ZSO,OOO.00) and contributions from HopeSource as needed for earnest
money, closing costs, and legal representation ($100,000). Once the type and use of the
existing structure are determined based on community feedback, funding for the
rehabilitation of the building will be sought from appropriate sources. Depending on the
community feedback, on source of funding coming available in the Legislature is for
rehabilitation of a PSH property and would be funded by the Apple Home and Health
Funds (HB1866), which in this case would be projected to cost approximately $800,000.
13
Doc lD: 827c530853eb58e65a7bdf36e6b27 6d23884551 f
