3.2.4 Output Variables <br />Each module has a list of output variables available via the Options... button. Appen- <br />dix E lists the outputs and default selections associated with each module. The Variables <br />paper (Andrews 2049) includes a table of output variables with units and an indication of <br />whether they are available as map distances or as table shading variables. The SURFACE <br />module includes the most output variables, separated on several tabs (Figure 6). Area and perimeter <br />are selected in this example. <br />3.2.5 Appearance Preferences <br />The menu item Configure > Appearance preferences opens a window with several tabs <br />that contain options for customization (Figure 8). The Graph Size and Graph Elements <br />tabs offer selections that affect graph output (Section 7.3). Page Tabs allows you to add <br />tabs to the worksheet as shown in Figure 3. The Tables tab gives you options for table <br />format (Section 7.2), including the option of either crossing out values or showing blank <br />cells for the table shading option (Section 12).
