KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />MEETING DATE: March 28, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Chair <br />Signature on the Digital Submittal Certification to the <br />County Road Administration Board <br />BACKGROUND: Annually, the County Sheriff, County Auditor and the <br />Board Chair are required to certify traffic law <br />enforcement diversions from the Road Fund. The <br />County Engineer is also required to sign certification <br />documents. The Sheriff, Auditor and County Engineer <br />have all signed. The Board Chair's signature is now <br />needed completing the annual report. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Annually, the Chair of the Board of County <br />Commissioners and County Engineer are required to <br />certify the following reports to the County Road <br />Administration Board (CRAB): <br />Annual Construction Report <br />County Arterial Preservation Report <br />Maintenance Management Annual <br />Certification <br />The County Engineer has signed the required <br />certification and the Chair's signature is now needed <br />to complete the reporting document. <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to Authorize the Chair's <br />signature on required annual Road Fund expenditure <br />certification reporting, including the traffic law <br />enforcement, to CRAB. <br />HANDLING: Return two (2) originals to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution, Digital Submittal Certification Farm; <br />County Road report documentation <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
