p.Fs TC) 7yk,
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
KIIMUS COUIM
ITEM NO. 7.0 — BRIDGE INSPECTION REPAIR LIST & MANAGEMENT RESERVE
TASK NO. 7.10 — Bridge Inspection Repair List
Upon completion of all bridge inspections, KPFF will compile a list of all repairs for the
2022 County bridges (including short spans). This list will be in Microsoft Excel format.
TASK NO. 7.20 — Management Reserve
A management reserve line item of approximately $4,500 has been added to the fee
estimate to cover unanticipated services requested by the County. Additional services
under this task will be agreed upon with County prior to work proceeding.
ASSUMPTIONS
New construction of bridges will require inventory inspections and entry into
Bridgeworks. For short span bridges, the County co -inspector will be responsible for
creating entries in Bridgeworks for these new structures. KPFF will provide an NBIS
certified Team Leader for the inspections and will provide assistance and review of the
new inventory inspections. For NBI bridges, KPFF's inspection team leader will be
responsible for creating this entry in Bridgeworks for the new structure. KPFF will
provide a preliminary scour POA If required and will work with the County to finalize it.
No allowance is made for weather in the attached fee. Our general policy is to inspect in
difficult weather conditions but not engage in conditions or situations resulting from the
weather that the Team Leader feels are clearly unsafe. If such situations arise the
inspection will be rescheduled for as -soon -as -possible. Additional costs resulting from
weather delays will be issued to the County prior to any changes of the current schedule
or budget, for approval.
The County will provide a Co4nspector that will assist the KPFF Team Leader on all
inspections. Should the County provided Co -Inspector not be available for the scheduled
trip, KPFF will provide a co -inspector. Additional costs for the KPFF provided Co -
inspector and/or changes to the inspection schedule will be issued to the County for
review and approval prior to commencement of the work.
The County inspector will complete updates in Bridgeworks for 15 of the NBI
inspections. KPFF's Lead Inspector will review the reports and sign off on them before
releasing into the Bridgeworks system.
KPFF will submit to the County signed inspection reports and inspection photographs
(PDF from Bridgeworks and JPEG files) in electronic format. County staff will update
bridge files (hard copy and/or electronic) with signed inspection reports
