l Form of the Output
BehavePlus can produce calculated values in the form of simple lists, tables, graphs, and
simple diagrams. Default selections can be accepted, and a user need not be concerned
about making choices because the program will generate standard outputs. There are,
however, many options that can be used to produce output in a form desired for a given
application.
The form of tables and graphs depends on the variable type (continuous or discrete) and
number (zero, one, or two) of input variables that are assigned ranges. If input variables
are each assigned a single value, an output page will be produced as a simple list of re-
sults. If one or two variables are assigned multiple values, tables and graphs can be creat-
ed. Simple diagrams are produced by selecting a diagram variable from the list of output
variables. Various aspects of tables, graphs, and diagrams are described below to help you
make best use of BehavePlus.
An important consideration in all cases is that the input worksheet, including the program
version number and assigned values, should always accompany the results. Model output
is meaningless unless all of the information used to produce it is clearly documented.
7.1 List
If a single value is entered for each input variable, a simple list of output is produced
(Figure 35). We encourage you to look at tables and graphs with ranges of values before
you settle on the single values.
42 USDA Forest Service Gen. Tech. Rep. RMRS-GTR-249.2010
