03/18/2022 MINUTES 2 <br />At 2:20 p.m. Chairman Osiadacz announced the Board would recess back <br />into Executive Session with just themselves for 10 minutes to <br />evaluate the qualifications of a candidate for appointment to <br />elective office. However, any interview of such candidate and final <br />action appointing a candidate to elective office shall be in a <br />meeting open to the public <br /> <br />At 2:30 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright moved to appoint Karen Bowen, to serve as <br />Interim County Clerk, for the remaining portion of the term, until <br />certification of the November General Election. Commissioner <br />Wachsmith seconded. <br /> <br />The Board of County Commissioners expressed their appreciation for <br />all 3 applicants for their interest in serving, their time, and <br />willingness to put themselves forward. <br /> <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 2:36 p.m. <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> Julie Kjorsvik Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />
