MONDAY <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />PUBLIC WORKS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />In -Person and Webex <br />Regular Meeting <br />1:30 PM <br />March 14, 2022 <br />Board Members Present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman Cory <br />Wright, and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br />Others In -Person: Mark Cook, Rebecca Cruse, Public Works; Dan <br />Carlson, Jeremy Johnston, Community Development Services. <br />Others Virtual: Jessica Miller, Rachael Stevie, Jerimiah Cromie, CDS; <br />Chris Horner, Prosecuting Attorney's Office;(4) Members of the <br />Public. <br />At 1:34 pm Chairman Laura Osiadacz opened the Public Works Study <br />Session. <br />TOWNS TO TEANAWAY IMPLEMENTATION <br />Mark Cook updated the Board of County Commissioners of Public Works <br />involvement with the Towns to Teanaway Trail Network and it is <br />consistent with supporting the County recreation plan. Mark Cook <br />stated that Public Works sponsoring the Towns to Teanaway Trails <br />allows grants to be pursued through the county. Discussion was held <br />regarding liability of the county as legal and physical sponsor. <br />Staff was directed to review/brief the board on the Counties <br />liability for people recreating on the easements and affirms support. <br />At 1:41 pm Chairman Laura Osiadacz announced the Board would recess <br />into Executive Session with Mark Cook, Public Works Director, and <br />Chris Horner Prosecutor, for 15 minutes - to consider the selection <br />of a site or the acquisition of real estate by lease or purchase when <br />public knowledge regarding such consideration would cause a <br />likelihood of increased price. There was no action anticipated. <br />At 1:56 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No <br />Action. <br />At 1:56 p.m. Chairman Osiadacz announced the Board would recess back <br />into Executive Session for 10 minutes - to consider the selection of <br />a site or the acquisition of real estate by lease or purchase when <br />public knowledge regarding such consideration would cause a <br />likelihood of increased price. Action anticipated. <br />At 2:07 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. Staff was <br />directed to prepare the notice of intent to terminate sales <br />agreement. <br />2022-03-14 Minutes <br />
