<br />System Analyst – Information Technology Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />Job Description <br />Kittitas County, Washington <br /> <br /> <br />TITLE: Systems Analyst <br />☒ REVIEWED ☐ MODIFIED March 1, 2022 <br />REPORTS TO: Information Technology Director <br />DEPARTMENT: Information Technology <br />JOB SUMMARY: The Systems Analyst is responsible for helping departments understand <br />their technology systems, their current workflows, how they might user <br />their systems effectively, and how they might expand or refine their systems <br />and workflows to meet their needs. The Systems Analyst maintains <br />courteous and cooperative working relationships with county personnel, <br />elected officials, and Information Technology staff. This position works <br />under the guidance of Federal/State/Local regulation, and County <br />policies/procedures. <br />CATEGORY: Full-time OCCUPATION CODE: 1324 <br />AFFILIATION: Non-union HOURS/WEEK: 40 <br />FLSA STATUS: Exempt DRS ELIGIBILITY: PERS <br />SUPERVISORY DUTIES: None PROBATIONARY PERIOD: One (1) year <br /> <br />ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS <br />70% of the effort in this position will be expended in Individual effort. <br />The essential functions of this position: <br />• Assist clients with software procurement processes, including needs analysis, solicitation <br />documents, hardware/software evaluation, selection, and implementation <br />• Analyze business processes and recommend improvements in efficiency and productivity using <br />standardization, automation, and technology systems <br />• Assist clients with defining their workflow processes and procedures <br />• Provide end user support and training for enterprise systems and associated software <br />• Work with clients and IT staff to develop integrations between applications to improve efficiency <br />and productivity <br />• Maintain IP telephone and video conferencing systems <br />• Document all aspects of the position’s essential functions <br />• Document all work performed and communication with employees on projects and problems in the <br />request tracking system <br />
