Cook, Director <br />TO: <br />CC: <br />FROM: <br />DATE: <br />SUBJECT <br />MEMORANDUM <br />Kittitas Gounty Board of Gounty Commissioners <br />Gandie Leader, Admin istrative Supervisor <br />Ryan Berge (Road Foreman) <br />March 8,2022 <br />Yakima River Ganyon Marathon <br />After review of the application for the "Yakima River Canyon Marathon" to be held on <br />April2,2022, Public Works would like to clarify that Berry Road, Wood House Loop and <br />the County portion of Canyon Road will not be closed for the duration of the race; and <br />that there will be sufficient amount of traffic control at these intersections. <br />Public Works recommends approving this event with the following conditions below: <br />1. Local advertisement in the Daily Record and physical posting two (2) weeks in <br />advance to inform the traveling public of the upcoming event in order to give <br />notice to plan an alternate route during the time of the event. <br />2. There will be no closures of County roads and there will be sufficient signage and <br />traffic control at all intersections. <br />Please contact Kittitas County Public Works with any additional questions you may have <br />at 509-962-7523. <br />411 N.
