02/28/2022 MINUTES 2 <br />Commissioner Wright moved to appoint Amy Mohler, to the Kittitas <br />County Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee for a 3-year <br />term effective immediately and expiring 12/31/2024. Commissioner <br />Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />LETTER WDFW – 2022 RECREATION PLAN COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright reviewed a letter addressed to the Director of <br />Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Kelly Susewind. <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve the letter as presented. <br />Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION UPDATE – REDISTRICTING COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Sue Higginbotham, Chief Administrator (Auditor’s Office) presented <br />the Board with an outline for the 2022 redistricting and received <br />direction from the Board such as when to set a Public Hearing etc. <br />She discussed deadline’s and reviewed maps as well as proposed <br />Public Hearing dates. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:46 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz announced the Board would recess into <br />Executive Session for five minutes to evaluate the qualifications of <br />an applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a <br />public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by <br />a governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of <br />employment to be generally applied within the agency shall occur in <br />a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects to <br />take final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual <br />employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an <br />employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the <br />public. No action anticipated. <br /> <br />At 9:51 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No <br />action was taken. <br /> <br />UPDATE PHIL BACKLUND COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Phil was out of town this week so there was no update. <br /> <br />UPDATE COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Carly Brettmann, Communications Director provided updates and <br />received recommendations from the Board on what they felt was a <br />priority focus for her.
